Get ready to grow, learn, and showcase your best plants at the fair! Our Prepare for the Fair Workshop Series is a hands-on, interactive experience designed for young gardeners ages 6-13. Whether you’re a first-time exhibitor or looking to refine your skills, this series will guide you through every step—from planting seeds to preparing a stunning fair entry.

💰 Cost: $5 per class or $10 for all three
What You’ll Learn:
🌱 Sowing Success (March 29) – Get your hands dirty as we explore the essentials of pots, soil, and seeds. Learn how to start plants from seed and set them up for strong, healthy growth. Each participant will receive a pot, soil, and seeds.
🌿 Rooted for Growth (April 12) – Discover the art of transplanting! We’ll cover seedling care, when and how to transplant, and the role of fertilizer in helping your plants thrive. Soil and fertilizer are included in the workshop price. Bring your own seedling or purchase one at the workshop!
🏆 Blue Ribbon Ready (May 31) – Learn how to prepare your plants for fair entry, from exhibit rules to display techniques, including how to create a beautiful bud vase for judging. A bud vase is included in the workshop price!
Registration:
Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early. To register, please submit the below form and our staff will contact you for payment over the phone. This workshop is designed for ages 6-13, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required for each person participating in the workshop.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we want to make the cancellation process as smooth as possible.
- Cancellation Window: If you need to cancel your registration, please do so at least 7 days prior to the event date.
- Refund Options: Cancellations made within this window are eligible for a refund of 100% of the ticket price in the form of a gift certificate. Refunds issued in the original form of payment will incur a $1 per ticket processing fee.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are non-refundable.
